Weekend activities with kids in bangalore

Helpppppppppppppppppppp !!!!
Its just me n lil p to fend for ourselves this weekend. Hubby dearest is busy n is NOT to be disturbed. So that leaves me with very few options

1. Saturday, we both wake up late, order in breakfast.. and spend the rest of the day watching mickey mouse club house, then chota bheem, then hanuman, then some rhyme CDs,  then 9xm till we are both ready to scream!!!  Repeat this task on sunday.
2. Saturday make some fun crafts, sleep for 3 hrs in the afternoon, go to the empty park below. Hmmm... Sunday, same thing. kiddo is happy.. mommy is ready to tear her hair out!!
3. Or take Lil P to some mall ... she plays in play pen while I shop. I think Forum & lifestyle are good options. Except, i don't have any money to spend and I don't really like window shopping with a 3 year old!
4. Check out some new place where Lil P gets to meet other kids & do things that kids usually do!!

I want to try point 4. Any suggestions??

Oh! I miss u so...

(PC has gone to Chennai for an official trip)

I know, I don’t thank you enough when,

1. I had to get the stool and climb in order to secure the upper latch at the door last night!!
2. I forgot that the washing m/c has a start button that I need to manually press.
3. I tried to snuggle up to u only to realize that u weren’t there..
4. I grumbled n moaned when lil P woke me up at 4 AM for a glass of water .. n realised that I’ve not woken up at this hour in ages!! You always take her to the loo no matter what time of the night it is.. n never complained.
5. I freaked out that I needed to get up early and stayed awake from 4AM to 5AM then promptly fell asleep till the maid woke me up at 7.15!!
6. I thought the incessant ringing of the doorbell was a part of my nightmare only to realize that the maid was seriously considering breaking the door down fearing foul play!
7. I realized that I now like my tea with extra milk & a bit of ginger.. just the way u make it.. n both me n the maid (secretly) dumped the tea (I made) down the drain!!
8. I realized that I had not shut off the alarm and it started ringing the moment I went into the bathroom.
9. I remembered at 7.30 that Lil p has her milk at 7:00 am..
10. I realized that she now hates the way I make bournvita .. U spoil her totally!!
11. I realized that you regularly check the contents of her bag each morning.. The water bottle was sitting pretty on the dining table much after I triumphantly put her on the school bus…
12. I realized that I would have to go and drop her day care bag in pouring rain..
13. and the day just doesn’t seem right when I find the newspaper in the living room and not in the bathroom where it is every morning..

Lil p's 1st PJ!!

Lil P has always enjoyed humour.. the slapstick, in ur face kinds.. Like if u say baa baa black "cow" instead of "sheep" she'll roll on the floor laughing!! .. But she never attempted it on her own.
Last week she had "yellow" day at her school.. all kids came dressed in yellow. On our way back home this was our conversation
Me: What did you do in school? Everybody wore yellow-yellow ??
Lil P : Essss.. Dirty Dirty Yellow!
Me: Dirty Dirty Yellow??
Lil P : Dirty Dirty Yellow .. sitting on a buffallo.. n laughed like there was nothing more funnier..

This PJ was told to every1 .. Her dad, grandparents, dolls, every1 had to hear it again and again and laugh :p
I thought I should record her first PJ for memories sake!!

Crazy Crazy Life!!

Just when one problem is solved the next one crops up.. Well I’m known to think too much abt everything and anything.. n rt now I’m thinking abt what will happen 1 year down the line... Confused??? Read on..


Flashback...

2006 -We were expecting our first baby. Really excited abt becoming parents!! .. n we wanted the best for her.. I wanted to work till the last month of my pregnancy (I was working till the day Lil p was born.. but that’s a different story) . Commute by bike / auto was becoming a pain in the a** , so we bought our first car.

We were staying in a dowdy rented place, which was actually ideal for a married couple (nobody wanted to come to our area).. but bcos lil p was on her way n would need a 'nice' home, we started searching for an apartment to buy.. The mad search ended when we saw a lovely mid sized apt in marathahalli.

It was perfect.. 3 BHK, an open kitchen, the right budget.. Close friends staying real close.. n we were hooked. We booked the flat a day before Lil P was born.. Actually I signed the papers in manipal hospital waiting for our bundle of joy to arrive the next day thro a planned c-section (another long story - some other post)

2007 -We celebrated Lil p's 1st bday & gruhapravesh together..

Then there was this mad rush to get the perfect wardrobes, the italian kitchen .. the kinds.. It was perfect..

What we did not factor in was that my mom would have to move back to the native & Lil p would have to move to a day care very soon.. That my office would be nearly 17 kms away.. n that Lil p would get violently sick if she sat in a moving vehicle for more than 1/2 hr.. No! make that 15 mins.

2008 - So very reluctantly we decided to leave our baby (the flat, silly!). Gave it on rent and moved closer to office, day care, school & friends.. shifted to HSR. It was back to searching for a tenant, finding a suitable rental place to stay .. the day care, THE school..Slowly, this was perfect again!!

2009 - Now!! The office sends a notice that we might shift the campus to Malleshwaram next year!!

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

For people not familiar with bangalore - Marathahalli is bangalore east , HSR layout is bangalore south & malleshwaram is bangalore north west!!!
